If you are having trouble connecting to WiFi networks with an SPC smartphone, we recommend reading this article.
The WiFi connection does not activate, I cannot find networks or I cannot connect
For any problem related to WiFi network connection, check that the signal_wifi_4_bar icon appears next to the battery icon and the time in the top right corner of the screen. If it does not appear, the WiFi signal is disabled.
Turn on WiFi on a smartphone
To activate WiFi, access the Device Settings, select Networks and Internet and select the WiFi option from the menu.
You will see that “Disabled” appears on the screen. Move the switch to the right, it will switch to “On” and the available WiFi networks will be displayed.
Select the WiFi network you want to connect to. Enter the password. Be very careful with upper and lower case. Networks passwords are case sensitive. If everything has gone correctly it will show “Connection established” and the connection will be successful.
WiFi connection still not working
It may be the case that the WiFi signal is activated, but no network is shown.
Repeat the previous process.
Turn off the WiFi by moving the switch to Off, and then turn it on by moving the switch to On.
Check that the WiFi network is compatible with your device
There are several types of WiFi networks that support different transmission speeds. Check that your network and your smartphone share the WiFi transmission protocol (which could be WLAN 802.11 b/g/n/ac), as well as the transmission frequency (2.4 or 5 GHz). If your network transmits in the frequency of 5 GHz and your device is only capable of transmitting information at 2.4 GHz, you will not get a connection. Find out this information on your router's manufacturer page, as well as on our product pages.
My network and my smartphone are compatible
If all this does not work, turn the smartphone off and on again.
