BLUETOOTH MODE
WHAT PROFILES AND COMPATIBILITIES DOES YOUR SPC HURRICANE HAVE?
Your Hurricane Tower supports a version of Bluetooth 4.2 with the following profiles:
- Advanced audio distribution profile (A2DP). It allows transmission of stereo audio signals.
- Audio/video remote control profile (AVRCP). It is used to send commands from a speaker to a Bluetooth player, for example an MP4 or smartphone.
FIRST PAIRING
Using a music player with a Bluetooth connection (smartphone, tablet, MP3, MP4...) you can listen to your music through your SPC Hurricane tower.
To make a new connection with your SPC Hurricane tower via Bluetooth, you will have to activate Bluetooth mode on both your SPC Hurricane tower and your audio player. Once these connections are activated, you will have to search for your SPC HURRICANE in the list of Bluetooth devices detected by your audio player in the Bluetooth menu. After selecting your SPC HURRICANE, the tower will emit an established connection sound.
WHAT CONTROLS DO I USE IN BLUETOOTH MODE?
The controls in Bluetooth mode on the audio tower and on the remote control are the following:
PREV/NEXT: Press this button to go back to the previous song or advance to next song.
PLAY/PAUSE: Press this button to pause playback. Press it again to restart it. Keep it pressed to disconnect from the Bluetooth device to which the tower is connected.
EQ: Press to toggle between the different equalisations that the device has: Normal, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic and Country.
REPEAT: Activate/deactivate random playback if the player you are using supports this function.
FM RADIO MODE
In FM Radio mode you can listen to FM stations available in your area. You can perform an FM search from 88 MHz to 108 MHz. To do this, follow these steps:
- With your device turned on, access the FM Radio mode by pressing the M button on the tower or on the remote control.
- Press and hold the Play/Pause button on the tower or on the remote. The scanning process will begin.
- Once finished, all the FM stations found will be stored as follows: P01, P02, P03…P100. Up to a total of 100 stored presets.
If you take your SPC Hurricane to another region in which the FM radio stations change, you will have to do the FM frequency scan again. To improve the reception of the FM signal, unroll the FM antenna from your sound tower.
WHAT CONTROLS DO I USE IN FM RADIO MODE?
The controls in FM Radio mode on the audio tower and on the remote control are the following:
PREV/NEXT: Press this button to go back to the previous song or advance to next stored station. You must press these buttons to advance (NEXT) or go back (PREV) to the next available FM station.
PLAY/PAUSE: Press this button to mute the audio. Press it again to turn the sound back on. Press and hold to start scanning and automatic storage of all available FM stations.
REWIND/FF: Press these buttons to manually go back and forth from your current FM frequency.
AUXILIARY MODE
Using the 3.5mm jack cable included with your SPC Hurricane, you can connect any audio player that has this audio output. Connecting your player and your Hurricane tower, using the 3.5mm jack cable you can listen to the music stored on your music device.
The auxiliary mode playback controls are as follows:
PLAY/PAUSE: Mute the device. Press it again to turn on the sound again.
Skipping forward or backward through the songs must be done from the device that is playing the music.
MICRO SD MODE
Thanks to the micro SD memory card reader, you can play the music that you have save on it.
With your SPC Hurricane turned on, insert the MicroSD card into the slot and it will automatically start playback of the first stored file.
Playback will follow the order in which the files are stored on your microSD card. We recommend separating the audio files into different folders so that the device manages the reading of them.
What cards does your Hurricane Tower support?
SPC Hurricane Tower is compatible with micro SD cards up to 64 GB. It is compatible with MP3 and WAV files. Check that your audio files are in this format.
What controls do I use when playing from an SD card?
The MicroSD playback mode controls are as follows:
PREV/NEXT: Go back or skip to the next song
PLAY/PAUSE: Press this button to pause and resume audio playback.
REWIND/FF: Rewind and fast forward.
EQ: Press to toggle between the different equalisations that the device has: Normal, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic and Country.
REPEAT: Switch between the "Repeat all" and "Repeat once" mode.
