Copying books to the Dickens

In this article we explain the different ways to copy files to your Dickens. You can find extended information about types of books in the 'Compatible Books' section of our help centre.

To copy the books, you must connect your Dickens to a PC or Mac using the USB cable supplied in the box.

Once connected, you can copy books to your Dickens in 3 different ways: using File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac), using Calibre or using Adobe Digital Editions.

File explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac)

This is the old, familiar option and the one that requires the least amount of learning, since it is requires connecting the Dickens to your Windows or Mac computer and using the File explorer or Finder to copy the files to Dickens as if it were a USB memory. I will try.

Make sure you copy the books to the Documents folder of the internal memory or memory card. If this folder was deleted or not there, you have to create a folder with that name and copy the files into it.

Calibre

Calibre is a wonderful application for lovers of digital reading. It allows you to manage your entire library and is available for Windows, Mac and even Android. You can find more information in this article.

Adobe Digital Editions

Adobe Digital Editions is the application that will allow you to copy the books that you have bought or rented and that are compatible with Adobe DRM to Dickens. You can find more information in this article.
