This watch is water-resistant, complying with the IEC 60529 standard's IPX8 rating: a maximum depth of 1.5 meters for up to 35 minutes without movement. If any of these variables change (such as movement of the watch underwater, high-impact water strikes, currents...), the watch's protective capacity against water may be altered. Therefore, the watch is not suitable for activities like diving or swimming. In other water sports, mainly surface ones like rowing or sailing, it is possible to use the watch; however, keep in mind that in these situations, variables like depth, time, and movement may change, so using the watch under these circumstances is not recommended. The salinity of the water is another factor that could affect the watch's water resistance, so its use in saltwater is also not advised.
Additionally, it's important to note that water resistance is not permanent; it decreases over time and with use, so damage caused by liquids is not covered under warranty.
Microphone and Speaker
The SPC SMARTEE DUO PRO features a microphone and speaker. If water enters their compartments, audio quality will be reduced until the water exits.
In such cases, you should use the Water Drainage function, available in the quick access menu, which activates the speaker at a specific audio frequency to shake and remove water droplets that may have adhered to the watch's speaker.
