How do I link SMART YOU with my wearable?

First of all, you must download the SMART YOU app from the official Android store. In the quick user guide of your wearable, you will find a QR code that can help you locate and install the application.

Identify yourself as an SPC member

Besides downloading the SMART YOU application, you will need an account to identify yourself and keep your activity data.

If you have previously used our SMARTEE app, you can use the same account and keep your previous user and activity data.

Please note that if you have previously used SMARTEE, you must log out before you can log in to SMART YOU with the same account. In SMARTEE go to PROFILE and select LOG OUT.

Do you already have your SPC SMARTEE or SMART YOU account? If so, great. Log in to the application with your usual account (option “LOG IN”), where all your information will be stored until now. The download of the entire history will take a few minutes, so please be patient.

You also have the option to remember your password or recover it in your email if you have forgotten it.

If you are new, it is very easy. Register as a new user (option “REGISTER ME”) with your email and password, accept the Legal Terms and Conditions of Use, and select a country to determine the language of the application.

Thanks to your SPC account, all the data you register about your activity is perfectly stored in your account, so even if you change the app version, phone, or wearable, you will be able to recover all the information and always have it at your fingertips in the history.

When installing the application, depending on the mobile model, it will ask for a series of access permissions necessary for proper functioning.

In some models, certain settings for the SMART YOU application may be restricted. To enable them, go to SettingsApplications, find the SMART YOU app, and select it. In the upper right corner, click on the three horizontal bars:

And click on “Allow restricted settings”:

After entering your Username and Password, you will enter the HOME screen:

At the bottom are the menus of HOME, DEVICE, PROFILE, and SUPPORT, which will facilitate access to all the functionalities of the application. We will see them in the following sections.

Device connection

We have turned on the wearable, installed the App... and now what? The most important part arrives: linking our smartwatch through the SMART YOU app.

With this simple step, you will achieve:

     - Update the time on your wearable

     - Receive notifications from your smartphone on your wrist

     - Send all data (steps, calories, distances, heart rate, sleep, workouts...) to the app.

Remember that settings depend on the model that connects to the app, so these will not be visible until you have linked a device.

Linking with the watch must be done from the application, not from the watch settings.

For the connection to be made correctly, you must have Bluetooth activated on both your mobile and the wearable, and have accepted Google's permissions.

Start pairing

We are one small step away from having everything ready to start enjoying our wearable. If this is your first time using this version of the App, you must select the “DEVICE” menu:

Under “Other devices,” a list of previously linked wearables will appear for immediate selection. In this case, click on it to connect. If you are no longer interested in one, you can delete it by clicking on its trash icon.

Remember that in the list, you can have as many devices as you want, but you can only be connected to one at a time. When connected to a wearable, it disappears from the list, becoming the connected device. Do not worry, it has not disappeared.

For a first link, you must click the “Link” button. The next screen will open to select the device model to link:

Select the model:

And the application will start searching for smartwatches nearby. Select the device, and the connection will be established. Its status will appear as “Connected”:

The “Connected” message indicates that the connection has been successfully made, and your device should have updated the time, also indicating on the screen that the connection has been established (each model indicates it differently and is explained in each case in its manual).

Note that in many models, a second Bluetooth connection for the call profile will be established. A notification will appear on the mobile that you must accept:

Accept the access permission if you are going to use the call functions on the watch:

At the top of the App screen the connected device and its status and battery level will appear, with the disconnection option below. Also, once the connection is made, the settings section will update, showing the options for that specific model.

You are now ready to start using your device. Discover all that SMART YOU can do for you in our next article "How SMART YOU helps me in my daily life". What are you waiting for?
