Fast charging

Your DISCOVERY 2 ME has a fast-charging feature, allowing you to fully charge the device in less than 3 hours.

To take advantage of this feature, it is important to use the cable supplied with your device, which is compatible with the PD (Power Delivery) standard, and a charger that is compatible with this same standard.

Most of the chargers we have at home are not compatible with fast charging. Therefore, below we explain how you can identify such a charger to fully utilize the fast-charging feature of your DISCOVERY 2 ME.

The first step is to check if the charging port (or one of them) on the charger is USB-C. If it is, you can continue reading this article; if not, your charger is not compatible with fast charging, and we recommend looking for a USB-C PD charger to enjoy this feature.

Check the technical information on your usual charger; you will have a section indicating the power input (INPUT) and another section with the power output (OUTPUT).

If the OUTPUT section only shows 5V 1.0A 5.0W or 5V 2.0A 10.0W, your charger is not PD (Power Delivery) and therefore will not be compatible with the fast charging of your DISCOVERY 2 ME.

On the other hand, if in the OUTPUT section, in addition to 5V 2.0A 10.0W, you have more data such as 5V 3.0A 15.0W or 9.0V 2.0A 18.0W, you have a PD (Power Delivery) charger and you can enjoy fast charging on your device.

Ultimately, the important factor is the final power (the data that the charger provides us in watts, W) that the charger can supply to your device. As long as it is 15.0W or higher, it will be compatible with this feature.
