What to do if you have any doubts

PROBLEM SOLUTION
When picking up the handset, there is no sound and the red "in use" indicator (27) lights up. Check the handset cable connections at both ends.
When picking up the handset, there is no sound and the red "in use" indicator (27) remains off. Check the telephone line connection (4) to the telephone line jack in your home.
The phone does not dial the number. Ensure that you hear a tone with each digit pressed on the keypad. In this case, your line does not support tone dialing. Select pulse dialing. (6)
The ringtone is very low. Change the ring volume (7) to high volume.
With ADSL connected, the sound quality is low.
  • Make sure you have an ADSL filter plugged directly into each line jack you are using in the house.
  • Check that the modem and the telephone are plugged into the correct filter slot (one specific for each).
  • The filters may be faulty. Replace them and perform another test.
