Once the terminal is connected to the telephone line, it will be ready to make and receive calls. However, if you wish, you can set the date and time, the screen contrast, and the dialing type.

DATE AND TIME

This phone automatically updates the date and time when it receives the first call with caller ID. Therefore, user intervention is not necessary. For this, you must have the caller ID service activated with your telephone company. In any case, you must update the year so that the day of the week on the calendar is correct.

If you want to configure it manually, follow these steps:

  • With the handset on-hook, press the M button (15). The display will show SET 1 DATE. Press the M button (15) again.
  • The year starts to blink. Use the ▼▲ keys to increase or decrease the year. Press the M button (15).
  • The month starts to blink. Use the ▼▲ keys to increase or decrease the month. Press the M button (15).
  • The day starts to blink. Use the ▼▲ keys to increase or decrease the day. Press the M button (15).
  • The first digit of the hour starts to blink. Use the ▼▲ keys to increase or decrease. Press the M button (15). Do the same with the second digit.
  • The first digit of the minutes starts to blink. Use the ▼▲ keys to increase or decrease. Press the M button (15). Do the same with the second digit.

NOTE: On the second line of icons are the seven days of the week (SUN-SUNDAY; MON-MONDAY; TUE-TUESDAY; WED-WEDNESDAY; THU-THURSDAY; FRI-FRIDAY; SAT-SATURDAY).

REGIONAL CODE

The SET 2 CODE function should not be used in Europe, otherwise there may be problems with dialing.

PCODE ACCESS

The SET 3 CODE function should not be used in Europe, otherwise there may be dialing problems.

CONTRAST

It has 5 levels of screen contrast. Default value: LCD 4.

Follow these steps to change the contrast:

  • With the handset on-hook, press the M button (15). Press the ▲ button until SET 4 LCD appears on the screen. Press the M button (15).
  • Press the ▼▲ buttons to select the desired contrast level. LCD 1, low contrast; LCD 5, high contrast. Press the M button (15) to confirm.

This feature is very useful depending on the location of the equipment (desktop or wall-mounted).
