Your DISCOVERY PRO has the fast charging function, thanks to which you can fully charge the device in less than 3 hours.
To take advantage of this function, it is important to use the cable provided with your device, which is compatible with the PD (Power Delivery) standard, and a charger compatible with the same standard.
Most chargers we have in our homes are not compatible with fast charging, so below we explain how you can identify such a charger to make the most of the fast charging function of your DISCOVERY PRO.
The first step is to check if the charging port (or one of them) on the charger is USB-C. If it is, you can continue reading this article; if not, your charger is not compatible with fast charging, and we recommend looking for a USB-C PD charger to enjoy this function.
Check the technical information related to your usual charger; you will have a section indicating the power input (INPUT) and another section with the power output (OUTPUT).
If in the OUTPUT section the information is only 5V 1.0A 5.0W or 5V 2.0A 10.0W, your charger is not PD (Power Delivery), and therefore it will not be compatible with the fast charging of your DISCOVERY PRO.
On the other hand, if in the OUTPUT section, in addition to 5V 2.0A 10.0W, you have more data such as 5V 3.0A 15.0W or 9.0V 2.0A 18.0W, you have a PD (Power Delivery) charger and you can enjoy fast charging on your device.
In conclusion, the important thing is the final power (the data that the charger gives us in watts, W) that the charger is capable of supplying to your device. As long as it is 15.0W or higher, it will be compatible with this function.
