Automations (with examples)

Automations are at the bottom centre of the SPC IOT app.

Within this screen, in the upper right section, we will find a button to add “+” automations, we will click on it and it will give us different automation options: by Weather, Location, Schedule and When the status of an IOT device changes.

The first option, "Scenes", creates buttons or shortcuts that can make different functions or commands of our connected IOT devices. These functions must be defined when creating the scene.

  • Weather:

In this option when certain pre-established weather conditions occur, the AC will go into a previously programmed mode.

E.g.: When the outside temperature marks 30ºC the AC turns on at 21ºC in cold mode, automatic speed.

  • Location:

In this section, we can establish different locations and when leaving/entering these locations generate an action.

E.g.: We put the location in the workplace.

When leaving work, the air conditioning at home turns on at 21ºC in cold mode, medium speed. In this way, we will have the house cooled upon arrival.

  • Programming:

In this case we can leave the AC programmed at one or more established times.

E.g.: For those cold winter mornings, the AC at home turns on at 22ºC in heat mode, medium speed from 06:00 – 08:00, and, for the afternoon, the AC turns on at 22ºC in heat mode, low speed from 18:00 – 22:00.

  • When the status of an IOT device changes:

In this option we can link different IoT devices and perform various actions with them.

E.g.: By linking a window sensor and an air conditioner, we can program it so that when the window is opened the air conditioning turns off so as not to waste energy.
